Using a fresh swab before each step minimizes this risk and maintains the integrity of your setup.

You must use a new swab before absolutely every needle entry, whether you are adding bacteriostatic water for reconstitution or drawing a specific volume for your protocol. Open the individual foil packet immediately before use. Wipe the surface of the rubber stopper with a single swipe in one direction, avoiding a back-and-forth scrubbing motion. After wiping, wait 5 to 10 seconds for the alcohol to evaporate completely. The needle should only pierce the stopper once the surface is entirely dry to prevent liquid alcohol from entering the vial.

These swabs are strictly for single use. Once you wipe a stopper, discard the pad immediately. Never put a used swab back into its wrapper, and do not attempt to clean multiple vials with the same pad. Store the box at room temperature, away from direct heat sources or open flames, as isopropyl alcohol is highly flammable when wet.

This product is intended solely for external surface preparation during laboratory work. It does not replace the need for a sterile working environment, such as a laminar flow hood, if your protocol requires one. The swabs are meant for in vitro research preparation and should never be inserted into vials or used for unintended purposes.
