What is Argireline?
Argireline, scientifically known as acetyl hexapeptide-8, is a synthetic peptide derived from the N-terminal end of the SNAP-25 protein. It was developed as a topical and mesotherapy alternative to botulinum toxin for the attenuation of dynamic skin wrinkles. The peptide functions by modulating the biochemical pathways responsible for muscle contraction. In its lyophilized form, it requires reconstitution with sterile water or a carrier serum prior to application.
